The Montenegrin entrant at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, Slavko Kalezic, has just released the song he will be performing on stage in May, “Space“.
The song “Space” is a track penned by Momcilo Zekovic together with Swedish producers Stefan Örn, Jovan Radomir and Johan Kronlund.
Kalezic was selected internally by Montenegro’s public TV station RTCG. He is well known for his artistic and uncommon performances on stage. The singer used the TV talent show The X Factor Adria to showcase his talent and everything turned out to be brighter than ever for his music career. During the program, he was coached by Željko Joksimović, who represented Serbia & Montenegro in 2004, hosted the contest in 2008 and returned as participant in 2012. Slavko is also a well-known actor of the Montenegrin National Theatre, which he joined after graduating from the Faculty of Drama of the University of Montenegro in Cetinje. The multi-talented artist released his debut album just two years ago.
Stefan Örn is a well known name to Eurovision fans as he wrote Azerbaijan’s entries for 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014: “Drip Drop”, “Running Scared” and “When the Music Dies” and “Start A Fire“, respectively. One of them even got the victory in 2011. This proves Slavko is going big for Kiev.

Momcilo Zekovic declared to be overwhelmed by how everything turned out with the preparations for the entry. “I think we were very lucky to have worked in a top-class studio with top-class professionals. Everything that was expected from Slavko was done in less than two days”, he stated.
Montenegro made it to the final of the contest for their first time ever in 2014 with Sergej Cetkovic and “Moj Svijet” after several attempts since 2007, which was the first year of the nation as an independent country. In 2015, they repeated success with “Adio” which was sung by “Knez” achieving their best position in the grand final to date, coming 13th.
