Luxuslärm: “Love is always the most beautiful message which everyone should hear” (German finalists – Exclusive Interview)

ESC+Plus has talked to Luxuslärm, finalists of this year’s German national selection for Eurovision. The band will perform “Solange Liebe in mir wohnt” at the final of “Unser Lied für Stockholm” set on February 25.

ESC+Plus: Hello! First of all, thank you for your time and congratulations on having been selected to take part in the German national selection for Eurovision 2016.

Can you tell us about you, your musical career and important achievements?

Hi, we are Luxuslärm, a German pop band celebrating 10 years band anniversary this year. In addition, we will publish our 5th album “Fallen und Fliegen“ this year. Our bog tour through Germany starts in April an we wanna celebrate with our fans.

E+: What impelled you to take part in “Unser Lied für Stockholm 2016”?

Just to be there, is a great honor. In Germany, millions of people will see the qualifying round. But of course we hope that we can present our song in Stockholm.

E+: How did you feel when you knew you had qualified for the final? Did you expect it?

We hoped it, but not expected. We were happy when we found out that we are part of the show.

E+: Can you tell us about your song? What is the story behind the lyrics?

What’s happening in this world right now is terrible. The news shock us every day and make us sad. The only answer is love. You have to start with yourself. As long as love dwells in us, there is hope. That´s what´s all about and that´s what our song is about.

E+: Why do you think your song has to be selected for Stockholm? What are you strengths to reach the top in the competition?

Love is always the most beautiful message which everyone should hear.

E+: Have you started to prepare your stage performance for “Unser Lied für Stockholm 2016”?

Yes, of course. But we won’t reveal about it. Be surprised. 😉

E+: Do you usually watch Eurovision? What are your favorite songs in the history of the competition?

Our favorite song is last year´s winner: „Heroes“

E+: If you could choose a Eurovision former participant to sing along with, who would it be?

E+: Besides Eurovision, what are your plans for this year?

We will release our 5th album and play quite a lot of concerts an festivals in the summer. This will be a great year.

E+: Finally, can you send a message for our readers and Eurovision fans?

We are excited about our participation and we are looking forward to seeing you guys out there rocking the ESC with us.
