Lithuanian finalists decided!

The Lithuanian semi-final has just come to an end and we have finally got to know the 6 acts that will fight to represent the Baltic country at Eurovision 2016!

After weeks of heats, only 8 songs competed at today’s show where the bottom two was eliminated:

  • Aistė Pilvelytė “You Bet”
  • Catrinah “Be Free” (OUT)
  • Donny Montell “I’ve Been Waiting for This Night”
  • Erica Jennings “Leading Me Home”
  • Ieva Zasimauskaitė “Life (Not That Beautiful)”
  • Ruslanas Kirilkinas “In My World”
  • Rūta Ščiogolevaitė “United”
  • Valdas Lacko “Stay Tonight” (OUT)

This was the first live show of Eurovizijos 2016, as the previous heats were all broadcasted pre-recorded and later aired with the televoting and international jury results being revealed at the end of the show.

The 6 finalists were chosen today by a 50-50 mix of public televote, and professional jury. The rankings of both sides were converted to the Eurovision Style points 3-8, 10 and 12, and then assigned to the 8 competing acts. The jury votes consisted of a combination of a four-members Lithuanian jury panel and an international jury panel made up of three members, who cast their votes through video conference.

Eurovizijos 2016 is hosted by Andrius Rožickas and Gerūta Griniūtė.

What do you think about the Lithuanian finalists? Who do you want to see in Stockholm?
