Ithikon Akmeotaton to represent Greece?

As it has already been reported, Greece is going internal this year. According to yupiii.gr, ERT’s chairman Donysis Tsaknis has approached the group Ithikon Akmeotaton (Ηθικόν Ακμαιότατον in Greek) from Thessaloniki as well as the female singer Salina to be the front-woman of the group and to perform the Greek entry.

The song will have strong ethnic elements but there won’t be any clarinet-sound in the composition. The sound of the song will be Balkan and happy. It won’t be a miserable song but it will have a strong Greek music identity. The Greek entry this year will be devoted to the refugees and the economic crisis that the country goes through the last 5 years.

We are still waiting for an official confirmation by ERT so stay tuned for more!
