A few months ago, the Israeli broadcaster confirmed they will be using the same selection procedure that leaded them to the top 10 after seven years. Now, it has just been announced the show name will include the word Eurovision, being called “HaKochav Haba Le’eyrovizion 2016” (Rising Star for Eurovision 2016).
IBA will air the first episode of Rising Star for Eurovision 2016 on December 5 and the whole season will feature the same jury panel that in the past edition: Assaf Etedgi, Keren Peles, Mookie and Harel Skaat (Eurovision 2010 Israel).
It is expected the show is formed by a total of 15 episodes following the same procedure, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet. Moreover, the broadcaster hasn’t revealed any information about the song selection, so it is probably to be composed after the artist is chosen.
