Greek song presented, listen to “Utopian Land” by Argo!

The Greek song for this year’s Eurovision has just been presented from the ERT Headquarters!

Band Argo were internally selected by the broadcaster to wave the Greek flag in Stockholm. They will perform the song “Utopian Land” which you can listen to below:

The song’s lyrics, written in three different languages, Greek, Pontic Greek and English, reefer to the refugees and financial crises.

Argo is formed by six members, Christina Lachana (lead singer), Maria Venetikidou (backing vocalist), Vladimiros Sofianidis (vocalist), Kostas Topouzis (Pontian lira), Ilias Kesidis (vocalist and percussion) and Alekos Papadopoulos (tabor). The Eurovision 2016 band was initially named Europond, but later changed the name as new members were added to the group. However, some of the artists involved are still components of the Greek band Europond.
