A few days ago, GPB announced the name of their internally selected representatives for Eurovision 2016, Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitas. The broadcaster has now revealed more details regarding the song selection whose submissions were recently closed.
GPB will be revealing the five candidate songs on the 3rd of February during “Communicator”, show broadcasted on the First Channel. Since that date until February 15, a 50-50 mix of professional expert panel and public televote will be in charge of selecting the best of all them. The name of the chosen one will be also revealed at the closing date in “Communicator”. The songs will be also available to be listened on-line, while the SMS and calls to be will be free. GPB will also allow people from abroad to vote for their favourite song on-line.
Georgia is back to an internal selection after having run an external procedure in 2015, won by Nina Sublatti and the song “Warrior” (11th place).
