The French broadcaster have revealed their plans for Eurovision 2017 with call for songs and singers.
France 2 will use the same procedure which leaded them to a 6th place at Eurovision 2016. The broadcaster is looking for the best artist and song that will fly the French flag in Kyiv through an internal procedure with open call.
All interested artists, aged 16-50, and composers can send their proposals by filling the form available on the official website of France 2 (click on “Règlament” to see the full set of rules in French). The submission period will be open until November 30 with the French entry being selected by an Expert Committee no later than March 10.
Last year France was represented by Amir and the song “J’ai Cherché” being among the favourites to win the competition:
The Eurovision Song Contest 2016 is set to take place on May 9, 11 and 13 in Kyiv (Ukraine).
