Eurojury: Estonia Calling

This is Tallinn Calling

From Bulgaria we head to the Baltic’s and to Estonia. Estonia this year are represented by the duet of Stig Rasta and Elina Born with the song “Goodbye to Yesterday”.

Estonia debuted in Eurovision in 1994 in Dublin, they were represented by Silvi Vrait, “Nagu Merlaine”. Estonia was the first of the former Soviet countries to win the contest in 2001 with the song “Everybody” sung by Tanel Padar, Dave Benton and 2XL. Estonia last made it through to a final in 2013 when Birgit Õigemeel sang “Et uus saaks alguse” which finished in 20th place with 19 points.

On the Eurojury today are two of this years Eesti Laul participants:

  • Airi Ojamets – Took part in Eesti Laul 2015 with the song “Saatuse laul”, it finished 9th in the first semi final.
  • Daniel Levi – Took part in Eesti Laul 2015 with the song “Burning Lights”, Daniel finished 2nd in the final of the competition.

Here are the results of the Estonian Eurojury:

  1. Australia – 12 points
  2. Italy – 10 points
  3. Russia – 8 points
  4. United Kingdom – 7 points
  5. Sweden – 6 points
  6. San Marino – 5 points
  7. Norway – 4 points
  8. Germany – 3 points
  9. Austria – 2 points
  10. Spain – 1 point

So let’s see how those points change the top.5:

  1. Australia – 126 points
  2. Italy – 88 points
  3. Russia – 73 points
  4. Sweden – 71 points
  5. Iceland – 58 points
