Some of the broadcasters are in conversations with EBU to make the format more attractive in regards to a possible participation! EBU has invited a lot of broadcasters to take part in the contest on the 20th of November.

They want the format more suitable for families, that’s why the put it on Sunday!
Age limit has been put lower from 9 to 14 to take more children involved and showcase more talent.
About the regular voting system, televoting has not been seen as a good thing working for EBU, new features are being introducing: KIDS JURY AND PROFESSIONAL JURIES IN EACH OF THE PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES.
So, no televoting from now onwards.

Tono Portuguese (chairman of Maltese broadcaster PBS) takes the microphone, he has being explaining what the motto chosen is about!
Multiple locations will be used to host the contest in Valletta, but the main stage will be located in the Mediterranean Conference Centre, where also MESC has been taking place over the past years!
PBS and EBU are also hoping that BIG 5 countries including Spain, Germany and France are coming back.
Destiny goes on stage to perform embrace, the official theme song of this year’s contest! it is written by Elton Zarb, Matt Muxu Mercieca and Gordon Bonello.
