Nine of the participating acts were internally taken into consideration by the broadcaster itself whilst the tenth and remaining spot was given to AzRaH, who won the voting on Facebook getting the most of ”likes” among the final 6 entries in competition for the ”wildcard”.
The show will be aired from 20.15 CET. Andi Knoll (Eurovision commentator for the ORF and tv host celebrity) and Alice Tumler (ESC 2015 host) will be in charge of hosting the show. The winning entry will be selected via 50/50 televote and jury deliberation after two voting rounds.
In the first round, the votes of the TV viewers and the jury, made up of Conchita Wurst (ESC 2014 winner), Madita (singer and actress) and Julie Frost (composer of Lena’s Satellite, ESC 2010 winner), will be combined to determine two super-finalists. The selected acts will then perform their songs once again, and the winner and Austrian representative in Stockholm will be decided by 100% televoting.
