The 54th edition of the Norwegian national final Melodi Grand Prix has just come to an end. After two exciting voting rounds, we have just got to know the winner of this year’s show: Agnete will perform Icebreaker at the second semi-final of Eurovision 2016!
A total of 10 acts competed at today’s final:

- Stine Ulla – Traces
- Makeda – Stand up
- Pegasus – Anyway
- Freddy Kalas – Feel da rush
- Laila Samuels – Afterglow
- Elouiz – History
- Suite 16 – Anna Lee
- Agnete Johnsen – Icebreaker
The winner has been chosen over two voting rounds of public televoting. In the first round, the top four entries proceeded to the Gold Final, where the overall winner was announced by regional results:
The Norwegian final was hosted by Silya Nymoen and Kåre Magnus Bergh and featured last year’s winners, Mørland and Debrah Scarlett, as guests of the show.
